Vol. 337 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Dublin Medical Card Application.

610.

asked the Minister for Health whether, in view of the medical problems experienced by a person (details supplied) in Balbriggan, County Dublin, he will arrange to have a medical card issued to him.

The application form submitted by this person showed that his means were above the guidelines for eligibility. Before reaching a decision, however, the Eastern Health Board requested him to submit a note from his doctor outlining his medical problems. So far he has not done so. If he will submit the note in question the board will consider his application further. It is, of course, for the chief executive officer of the board to decide whether or not to issue the medical card.
