Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

706.

asked the Minister for the Environment the number of cases in respect of which requests have been made to his Department by Dublin County Council for the payment of a site subsidy and which have not been granted so far.

707.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he intends to pay a site subsidy in respect of an estate which was developed by Dublin County Council at Flemington Lane, Balbriggan, County Dublin.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 706 and 707 together. Site subsidy has not yet been paid by my Department in respect of seven schemes where applications for payment have been made by Dublin County Council as follows: Kenure Park, Phase I & II (100 sites); Hillview, Cabinteely (32 sites); Flemington, Balbriggan Phase I & II (45 sites); Smithfield, Portrane Phase I & II (24 sites); Moreen, Sandyford (84 sites); Shanganagh (18 sites); Toberburr (12 sites).

These applications are at present being examined in my Department for subsidy purposes and payment will be made in due course, if in order.

708.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in paying a £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and when payment will issue.

There has been no undue delay in my Department in dealing with this case. The grant will be paid shortly.

709.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in paying a reconstruction grant under the old scheme to a person (details supplied) in Blackpool, County Cork, who was paid a water and sewerage grant of £187 last week; and when payment will issue.

As the file in this case is currently with my Department's local inspector I am not in a position to comment on the reason for the delay, if any, in making payment of the grant. I shall communicate with the Deputy on receipt of the inspector's report.
