(Dublin North-Central) asked the Minister for Finance if he will ensure that the assurance given by his predecessor in June 1981 and subsequently in October 1981 that the working and toilet facilities on the top floors of the old house in Leinster House will be substantially improved so as to eliminate the existing outdated and unhygienic conditions which could be considered a health hazard will be honoured.

An assurance was given last year by my predecessor that improvement works to the toilet facilities on the second floor of old Leinster House would be carried out during 1982. These improvement works will be carried out during the forthcoming Dáil Summer Recess.

(Dublin North-Central) asked the Minister for Finance when the rear entrance to Leinster House will be opened again to Members.

The rear entrance from Leinster Lawn, which has been closed for major works, will be re-opened for the resumption of the Dáil after the Summer Recess.
