16.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he has received an application from a community organisation or a sporting organisation in the Maree area of Oranmore, County Galway, for a portion of land in the Champion Stud Estate at Oranmore, County Galway.

17.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he has received an application for a division of land from the Champion Stud, Rinville, Oranmore, County Galway, from a local sporting club (details supplied) in Oranmore.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 13 to 17, inclusive, together.

The intention was that this estate would have been allocated by now. However, due to the refusal of one of the allotments involving a substantial area, the scheme of division has to be recast and it is now hoped to divide the lands later this year. In the meantime, it is not possible to say what form the allocation will take. An application for portion of the lands has been received on behalf of the Maree Community Development Association and will be fully considered by the Land Commission in connection with the division of the lands. There is no application from any other organisation.

When does the Minister propose to reply to the Maree Community Development Association in relation to their specific request?

I should like to reply to them as quickly as possible. Just to give the Deputy some official information, the new revised scheme is expected to be lodged inside the next few months and division of the estate is expected later in the year. I will certainly be in touch with the community development association and will mention the Deputy's interest.
