Vol. 337 No. 11

Written Answers. - Financing of Fire Services.

402.

asked the Minister for the Environment how the extra £1 million for the fire services which he mentioned in Dáil Éireann on 30 March 1982 is being allocated.

The additional £1 million was provided to finance expenditure in 1982 on a number of fire station projects which had reached an advanced stage of planning and which might otherwise have had to be deferred. The projects in question, together with their anticipated capital requirements for 1982, are Rathfarnham, £0.3 million, Phibsborough, £.36 million, Bray, £.04 million, Killeshandra £.05 million, Tinahely, £.04 million, Blanchardstown, £.05 million, Clonmel Phase II, £.14 million and Carrick-on-Suir, £.02 million.
