asked the Minister for Justice the number of persons who have been tried under the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act, 1976 for extra-territorial offences; and the number who have been convicted as a result.

Ten persons have been tried for extra-territorial offences under the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act, 1976. Seven of them were convicted and three were acquitted.

Two other persons have been charged under the Act with extra-territorial offences and the cases are still before the courts.
