Vol. 337 No. 11

Written Answers. - 1981 Investment Plan.

444.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in the form of his reply to parliamentary question No. 25 of 25 February 1981 in respect of the 9,700 jobs to be created by the 1981 Investment Plan, under the headings of environment, telecommunications, energy, education, transport, agriculture, industry and other public buildings whether in each case the expected number of jobs was created; if these jobs having been created are now still in existence; and if he proposes a similar investment plan for 1983.

The reply to the first two parts of the Deputy's question is in the form of a tabular statement which I propose to circulate with the Official Report. As regards the final part of the question the Government's intentions in regard to investment will be indicated in the economic plan which is currently being drawn up.
