A sub-post office was opened in Killinarden on 19 May 1982 and it will cater for Killinarden, Knockmore and part of the Jobstown area. It is intended to provide a further sub-post office to serve Springfield, Fattercairn and the remainder of the Jobstown area when a central location for an office becomes available.
