asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have a house improvement grant paid to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow, as the work has been completed and his Department notified.

This grant will be paid if and when an inspection establishes that the works have been satisfactorily completed. Notification of completion of the works was received on 5 July 1982.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant for the installation of water in a new house will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny, as the work has been inspected and passed for three months.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a grant from the person named. In any event a house improvement grant is not payable for the provision of a water supply in a new house.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in relation to an application for a house improvement grant from a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the works had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant was so informed on 17 June 1982.

There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in relation to a reconstruction grant application from a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the works had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out and also because a period of ten years had not elapsed between payment of a previous grant and the commencement of the works. The applicant was so informed on 31 May 1982.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will pay a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford whose name and address are identical to those of another applicant to whom a house improvement grant had been paid.

I am having this case further investigated with a view to having any payments which may have been delivered to the wrong person recovered and re-issued to the payee.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will pay an attic insulation grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

This scheme of grants is administered by the Department of Energy.
