Vol. 337 No. 11

Written Answers. - Manpower Offices.

103.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will consider, in conjunction with the Department of Social Welfare, the setting up of a manpower office in each employment exchange.

There are standing arrangements for close co-operation between the Manpower Service offices and the employment exchanges. I am satisfied that the arrangements work well but a review of the position is being carried out at present with a view to further possible strengthening of the liaison between the two services. This may involve the full-time presence of manpower staff in employment exchanges.
