asked the Minister for Finance the total cost of the installation of the security ramps at the entrance to Leinster House; the date of the installation; the number of times faults have developed in the system since then; and the total cost of service calls.

The rising step barriers at the Kildare Street and Merrion Street entrances to Leinster House were installed in 1974 at a cost of approximately £19,500.

Records are available from 1978 only. Since then breakdowns have occurred on six occasions. The total cost of repairs was £490.
