Vol. 338 No. 1

Written Answers. - Disturbance Allowance Payment.

325.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if agreement was reached on or about May 1982 to pay a disturbance allowance to employees of his Department on moving to new premises at Tallaght, County Dublin; and, if so, when the agreed disturbance money will be paid.

Agreement was reached in March 1982 on a claim for payment of a disturbance allowance to certain engineering staff scheduled for transfer from their existing headquarters to new accommodation at Tallaght. The staff transfers have taken place in the meantime. The question of payment of the appropriate disturbance allowances agreed in this case, and in other cases, has been considered in the context of the negotiations between the Public Services Committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and the Minister for the Public Service on public service pay and conditions and will be further considered in the light of the outcome of these negotiations.
