Vol. 338 No. 1

Written Answers. - Cardinal Mannix Commemorative Stamp.

336.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will consider having a commemorative stamp issued in honour of Dr. Daniel Mannix who was well-known internationally for his support for Ireland's cause especially in Australia, and who was born on 4 March 1864.

A stamp on the subject of Dr. Daniel Mannix (1864-1963) is not planned at present. In general, stamps in honour of persons are issued only on the centenary year of their birth or death.
