Vol. 338 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Garda Station.

12.

asked the Minister for Finance the up-to-date position in relation to the provision of a Garda station in Neilstown/Rowlagh, Clondalkin, County Dublin.

(Clare): Tenders for the provision of a temporary Garda station at Neilstown/Rowlagh (Ronanstown) have been examined. A contract will be placed as soon as possible depending on the availability of funds.

Will the Minister give any indication of the likely date when this station will be provided?

(Clare): I cannot give a specific date but I would inform the Deputy that it is the Department of Justice who regulate priority with regard to Garda stations. We do not do that in the Office of Public Works. We will not unnecessarily delay the matter when it becomes a matter of priority with the Department of Justice.
