The preparation of a planning brief for the development of facilities at Mallow County Hospital by a project team representative of the Southern Health Board and my Department is now reaching completion. This planning brief will include proposals for the development of outpatient services at the hospital.
The question of the provision of maternity services at Mallow Hospital will be the subject of further discussions between the Southern Health Board and my Department.
