Vol. 338 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - County Monaghan School Closure.

444.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that parents of pupils attending Sreenty national school, County Monaghan, are opposed to the closure of that school and the transferring of pupils to a proposed new school at Corduff; and if he is satisfied that full consultation took place with parents of pupils at Sreenty national school.

Dublin South-East): My information is that the Rev. Chairman of the board of management of Sreenty national school consulted with the parents of the children attending the school at a meeting in 1978 and that following such consultation the parents were satisfied with the proposal to amalgamate Sreenty with the new national school in Corduff when complete.
