The Government's present policy in relation to day care services is to make funds available, so far as resources will allow, for the provision of such facilities throughout the country. Generally speaking, this is done by way of financially assisting and encouraging voluntary organisations to establish centres for children, with particular reference to the needs of children of disadvantaged families. Also, wherever feasible, premises are made available by the health boards.
