It is proposed to have extensive rehabilitation work carried out on the pier at Clogher Head as soon as possible. However, because of insufficient information on the foundations of the existing structure, the nature of the surrounding sea bed and the effects of wave action, a hydraulic model investigation of the harbour had to be undertaken.
This investigation is now virtually completed and my Department expect to have the findings together with an engineering report from the Office of Public Works early in 1983.
