asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the amount of overseas development aid provided by the Government in 1980, 1981 and 1982; and if he will express these figures as a percentage of GNP.

The Irish Government's expenditure on official development assistance amounted to £15.178 million or .178 per cent of GNP in 1980 and £17.851 million or .175 per cent of GNP in 1981. An ODA allocation of £26.335 million was provided in 1982. This figure represents .22 per cent of estimated GNP for 1982.
