The balance of a new house grant under the old scheme of new house grants cannot be paid to the person named, as it was not claimed by the statutory date of 31 January 1980.

asked the Minister for the Environment when it is proposed to pay the balance of a re-construction grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth.
The balance of the grant in this case cannot be paid as the applicant did not comply with the Housing Regulations, 1980, (as amended), which required that the work be completed and payment claimed by 30 June 1981.
