asked the Minister for Education the present position in regard to the provision of a primary school in Blessington, County Wicklow; and when it is hoped to advertise for tenders.

Dublin South-East): I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that revised sketch-plans for the new primary school in Blessington, County Wicklow, have been submitted to them by the Rev. Chairman's architect.

When the plans, together with the Commissioners' report thereon, have been submitted to my Department, they will be examined without delay. It is not possible at this early stage of planning to state when tenders may be invited.

256.

asked the Minister for Education if, having carried out a feasibility study, it is his Department's intention to build a new national school at Laghey, County Donegal.

Dublin South-East): It is understood from the Commissioners of Public Works that a feasibility survey of the existing school site and an extension to the site at Laghey, County Donegal, has been done. This survey shows that the site can accommodate an extension to the existing school. A full report is awaited from the Commissioners. There is no proposal before my Department for building a new school on a new site.
