asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the name, position, rank terms and conditions of appointment and salaries of any non-established civil servants appointed by him or his Minister of State on a full time or part time basis up to 26 January 1983; and if they are on secondment, the agencies or bodies from which they were seconded.

One non-established civil servant has been appointed by the Minister of State at my Department. The following are the details: Name, Ms. Sheila Nathan; Position, Personal Secretary to the Minister of State; Conditions of appointment, Full-time under excluding order. On secondment from Dáil Éireann. Her appointment will terminate not later than the date on which the Government ceases to hold office; Pay, £125.06 per week.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if any agencies, companies or individuals of a consultancy, advisory or publicity nature have been appointed by him or his Minister of State up to 26 January 1983; and if so, if he will give full details of such appointments in respect of remuneration etc.

No appointments of this kind have been made by me or by my Minister of State.
