Vol. 339 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

421.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out shortly.

Question No. 422 withdrawn.

423.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a home improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

424.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.

425.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in paying a reconstruction grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a reconstruction grant from the person named. However, this person applied for the £1,000 new house grant and £3,000 mortgage subsidy. A new house grant of £1,000 was allocated in May 1979 and an inspection with a view to payment of the grant will be arranged when the applicant notifies my Department that his house is completed and occupied. His application for mortgage subsidy was rejected in November 1981 because the mortgage was executed before the scheme came into operation on 10 April 1981.
