Vol. 339 No. 7

Written Answers. - Irish Life Assurance Company.

343.

asked the Minister for Finance the proportion of the total assets of the Irish Life Assurance Company Limited, which are invested abroad; and the proportion of money invested abroad by the company in each of the last five years.

The only information available to me regarding the investment of Irish Life policy-holders' funds is contained in the company's annual reports, which do not contain the information sought by the Deputy. I am satisfied that it would be inappropriate for me to ask the company to reveal additional information, such as that sought by the Deputy, not required of other individual life assurance companies.
