asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the proposed extension to Cornamaddy national school, Athlone, County Westmeath.

I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that they are preparing a feasibility study for the extension of Cornamaddy National School, Athlone, County Westmeath.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the building of Ballygiblin national school, Mitchelstown, County Cork.

I understand that the Commissioners of Public Works expect to be in a position to report to my Department at an early date concerning arrangements for inviting tenders for the proposed new national school at Ballygiblin, County Cork. When this report has been received, it will be considered without delay.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the proposed extension to Coolmoohan national school, Araglen, Kilworth, County Cork.

My Department has approved of a sketch-plan for the extension of Araglen National School, Co. Cork, subject to certain amendments. It was necessary to undertake a fresh review of long-term accommodation needs before allowing further planning to proceed. It is envisaged that an early decision will be reached on this matter and my Department will then communicate with the chairman.
