Vol. 339 No. 10

Written Answers. - Tax-free Allowance.

252.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax-free allowance certificate and resulting tax rebate will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a certificate of tax-free allowances for £4,152 (£79.85 per week) has been issued to the taxpayer on a non-cumulative basis in respect of the current year. The inspector of taxes will not be in a position to issue a full certificate of tax-free allowances to the taxpayer until details of the taxpayer's earnings from part-time employment in the period 6 April 1982 to July 1982 are clarified. The inspector is writing to the taxpayer in the matter.
