asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will expedite the payment of a sheep subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number under which he applied for grants under the sheep headage scheme in designated areas and EEC ewe premium scheme 1982-83.

When the person named takes the necessary steps to become the registered owner as he was advised to do by the Department's inspectors last June, payment of grants claimed under both schemes will be considered.
