asked the Minister for Agriculture when a land reclamation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

A recent inspection revealed that work had not been completed to specification. When notification is received from applicant that outstanding items of work have been completed a further inspection will be carried out with a view to certification of grant for payment.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a cattle headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway

It is a condition of the 1982 Cattle Headage Scheme in the disadvantaged areas that the off-farm income of an applicant must not exceed £5,415 for the income tax year ended 5 April 1982.

The person named has been requested to forward his income tax form P.60 for the tax year in question and when he does so, his application will be considered.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a cattle headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Longford.

The person named will be paid his 1982 cattle headage grant under the Disadvantaged Areas Scheme shortly.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when an interest subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

An application form was forwarded to the joint applicants for signature on 10 January 1983. As soon as the signed form is returned to my Department, the interest subsidy will be processed for payment.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a sheep headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a ewe premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

It is proposed to take Questions Nos. 418 and 419 together.

The person named applied for the sheep headage grant and the ewe premium on the composite application form and his entitlement will be decided when he replies in writing to the query sent to him on 30 September 1982.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay a grant under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There is no grant outstanding in this case.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay a grant under the western drainage scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There is no grant outstanding in this case under the western drainage scheme. A grant under the programme for western development was paid in April 1982.

422.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay a farm buildings grant and a land reclamation grant under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The grants have been paid.

423.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in paying grants to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick in respect of the scheme of assistance for the expansion of cattle breeding herds.

There was no undue delay in payment in this case. The first payments under the scheme were made on 14 December 1982 and the person named was paid his grants on three calved heifers on 6 January 1983.

424.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a sheep subsidy for the last two years has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The person named applied for sheep headage grants in respect of the years 1981 and 1982.

The question of payment of the 1981 grants will be dealt with when as requested he submits a balancing statement from the Revenue Commissioners showing his off-farm income from all sources for the income tax year ended 5 April 1981.

He is not eligible for sheep headage grants for 1982 as his off-farm income exceeded £5,415 for the income tax year ended 5 April 1982.

425.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a land reclamation grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The grant cannot be paid until notification that the approved work has been completed is furnished to my Department by the applicant and the work has been inspected and passed.
