asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a £1,000 new house grant and a mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A new house grant and mortgage subsidy have been approved in this case. The file is with the inspector for investigation and report with a view to the payment of the grant if in order.

Payment of the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy will be made when the grant has been paid and the appropriate claim form is submitted by the applicant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a final inspection for a new house grant will be carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The applicant in this case appears to have paid a price for the house in excess of that stated on the Certificate of Reasonable Value (CRV) An inspection will not be carried out until this matter has been resolved.

298.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as she applied in accordance with the regulations under the old scheme.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

299.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a £1,000 new house grant and approval issued for a £3,000 mortgage subsidy for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The grant will be paid shortly. Approval to the mortgage subsidy has issued in this case.
