I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that 147,000 square feet of advance factory space at present under construction at ten locations throughout the country will be completed during 1983. In addition, 119,000 square feet will be completed by private developers at five locations.
During 1983 private developers will commence construction of an additional 247,000 square feet of factory space at nine locations by arrangement with the IDA. The IDA also propose to commence construction, late in 1983, of 90 cluster units totalling 104,500 square feet for small industry at 20 locations throughout the country. These units will be mainly of 750 and 1,000 square feet each.
In view of the substantial volume of factory space available for occupation throughout the country generally, the IDA will not be undertaking the construction of any additional advance factories during 1983.
