asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to persons (details supplied) in County Limerick; and the reason for the delay in making payment.

The application for a grant was rejected in this case because the applicants indicated on the application form that they were in occupation of the house more than one year prior to receipt of application in the Department. They have been informed that this decision may be reviewed if they submit certain information. This information has not been received.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a site subsidy grant will now be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin as a matter of urgency having regard to the fact that he applied for this grant in June 1978, that the matter has been passed by Dublin County Council and that work on this estate has been completed.

Subsidy claims from Dublin County Council, which include the site provided at Alpine Heights for the person named, are at present being examined in my Department and payment will be made in due course if in order.

421.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a house improvement grant was not paid in full to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

A house improvement grant cannot be paid in this case as, contrary to a qualifying condition of the relevant scheme, notification of the completion of work was not received in the Department on or before 31 January 1980. The applicant has been so informed.
