The percentage of (a) Irish made and (b) foreign made horse tackle and equipment purchased for the Army Equitation School in 1981 and 1982 was as follows:—

1981

1982

(a) Irish made

34%

25%

(b) Foreign made

75%

(No suitable offers of Irish made goods received.)

It is not possible to give projected figures for 1983.

Within the limits imposed by membership of the EEC every effort is made to purchase suitable Irish made items.
