Vol. 340 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Limerick Drainage Scheme.

495.

496.

asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works will expand their operations under the Maigue catchment drainage scheme to include a drain at Ballinamona Hospital, County Limerick through the land of a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

497.

asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works intend to respond positively to an application by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick to extend the Maigue catchment drainage scheme to include a drain through his land; and, if so, when a decision is likely to be made on this matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 495, 496 and 497 together.

The channels in question are being examined by the Commissioners of Public Works to determine if their inclusion in the Maigue catchment drainage scheme would be warranted. However, due to present commitments, it will be some time before the examination is completed and a decision made.
