Since January 1982, when the company in question went into receivership, the Industrial Development Authority in conjunction with the receiver has made intensive efforts to secure a takeover. The Authority also circulated details of the plant to their offices overseas seeking a possible investor. So far these efforts have not been successful. Negotiations between the Industrial Development Authority and any potential promoters are confidential and accordingly I cannot give such details.
