Preliminary proposals for Leap sewerage scheme are under consideration in my Department. The local authority's proposals for this scheme must be considered in the context of the amount of capital available for water and sewerage schemes and the number of schemes of high priority at present in progress or getting to construction for which adequate finance must be provided. I cannot say at this stage when I will be in a position to approve of the Leap sewerage scheme proposals, which include provision for servicing of houses at Ballyhilloe.
