: I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that as the taxpayer's income did not exceed the tax-free allowances for the year 1981-82 no PAYE was deducted from the emoluments received. There is no information available to the Inspector of Taxes which suggests that the taxpayer is entitled to a tax refund for any year.
