: The person named is ineligible for grants under the 1982 scheme of assistance for the expansion of the cattle breeding herd as the number of cows and first-calved heifers found in his herd at inspection in 1982 was the same as the number of cows in his basic herd.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a reactor grant of £240 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.
: A grant of £130 under the bovine tuberculosis eradication scheme will be paid shortly to the person named. Since the reactor was disclosed at a test prior to 31 January 1983 it does not qualify for the higher rate of grant now applicable.
