Vol. 341 No. 6

Written Answers . - Limerick School .

1137.

asked the Minister for Education if she is aware that many parents of children consider Kilteely national school, Limerick city, to be unhygienic; and if she will take appropriate action in this matter.

: My Department sanctioned a grant in March 1982 towards the cost of the proposed extension to Kilteely national school. Further arrangements are a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works. Should essential repairs to the existing school premises be necessary, pending the extension of the school, my Department will be prepared to sanction a grant towards the cost. However, works of a maintenance nature are a local responsibility and are not eligible for capital grants.
