: I would refer the Deputy to my statement of 2 March 1983 in which it was announced that it had been decided to extend to the pupils in the junior cycle of post-primary school the exemption from school transport charges already allowed to senior cycle pupils where the parents or legal guardians of the pupils are holders of medical cards and where the pupils are attending their appropriate post-primary centre. This exemption made no distinction between pupils under or over the age of 15 years.
