: My Department operate two grant schemes aimed at encouraging private forestry. One of these schemes is subvented by the EEC as part of the western package, and applies for practical purposes to the western region; the other relates to the rest of the country. A free technical advisory service is a feature of both schemes. I have asked that the relevant brochures containing the various grant schemes be sent to the Deputy forthwith.
