asked the Minister for the Environment when Ballisodare housing scheme, County Sligo, will commence; and if it has been approved by his Department.
: I propose to take Questions Nos. 612 and 613 together. I have approved the unit cost for a 31 house scheme at Ballisodare, County Sligo. Under existing procedures, it is now a matter for Sligo County Council to accept the tender, and to arrange for commencement of work on the scheme having regard to the capital allocation available for their house building programme.
The layout and plans for a 20 house scheme at Tubbercurry have been cleared by my Department's inspector. The next step is for Sligo County Council to advertise the scheme for tender and to submit to my Department in due course the relevant tender data for approval of unit cost.
