: The net cost of administering my Department's Housing Grants Section in 1982, including servicing CRV applications and the house building guarantee scheme, was £1.85 million. Because of the interchangeability of the duties of administrative and technical staff between the various schemes, it would not be possible to allocate this cost as between the house improvement and new house grant schemes.
