Vol. 341 No. 6

Written Answers . - Grant Payments .

626.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a water supply grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry who applied in 1979 and on whose behalf numerous representations were made.

: There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant under the former grants scheme from the person named. There is, however, an application under the current scheme from a person of this name with a broadly similar address which has been referred to this Department's inspector for investigation and report.

627.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a housing reconstruction grant under the old scheme and also a house improvement scheme grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

: A grant under the old scheme of house improvement grants cannot be paid in this case as the applicant did not comply with the provisions of the Housing Regulations, 1980, as amended, requiring notification of the completion of work and a claim for payment of the grant to be submitted to the Department not later than 30 June 1981.

An application for a grant was also received under the current house improvement scheme and the position is that on receipt of notification of completion of work an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of this grant, if in order.
