: On 29 October, 1982, my Department asked Galway County Council if the council would be prepared to make a special contribution of £39,000 towards the cost of this group water scheme in order to reduce the local contribution of group members. On 22 December, 1982, the council indicated that they had decided to make a contribution of £12,000 towards the cost.
