Vol. 341 No. 6

Written Answers . - Grant Payment .

718.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy the reason an insulation grant is not being paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

: The announcement of the termination of the attic insulation grant scheme as from the end of 1982 resulted in a very substantial increase in the number of applications. There is still a backlog of cases to be processed. Applications are being handled, as far as practicable, on a "first come, first served" basis.

An application was received from this person on 22 December 1982. The application has now been processed and is in order. A payable order in respect of the grant will be issued shortly to the applicant.
