asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding an application for a £1,000 new house grant for a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A new house grant has been approved in this case. A recent inspection revealed that the construction of the house had not yet commenced.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who has indicated to his Department that the work has been completed.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. Applicant's file has been referred to my Department's inspector for final inspection.
