Grant-aid under the farm modernisation scheme for farm buildings and fixed assets including bulk tanks and concrete yards was suspended with effect from 10 February 1983. Grant-aid under the scheme is met from the Exchequer with part recoupment from the EEC in respect of aids to certain farmers. A revised system of grant aid under the scheme will be introduced at the earliest possible date, probably in late Autumn 1983.
