Month ended, 5 June 1982 — 91,247; 5 July 1982 — 91,494; 5 October 1982 — 92,865.
Before 31 December 1982, returns on form P30 had been received as follows:
Month ended, 5 June 1982 — 48,130; 5 July 1982 — 47,467; 5 October 1982 — 42,278.
Statistics of returns received within nine days of the end of each income tax month are not available. The numbers received by the end of the month in which each due date fell were as follows:
Month ended, 5 June 1982 — 24,497 received by 30 June 1982; 5 July 1982 — 26,870 received by 31 July 1982; 5 October 1982 — 28,501 received by 31 October 1982.
Statistics of P30s received are produced on a calendar month basis and the figures that most clearly correspond to returns received within two months of the end of the period would be:
