Vol. 343 No. 4

Written Answers. - Theft from Hospital.

677.

asked the Minister for Health the steps that are open to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin who had jewellery stolen while attending a hospital; further to representation made by Deputy Mitchell if he will now make every effort to ensure the matter is satisfactorily resolved and that the person is adequately compensated.

This is a matter for the authorities of the hospital involved.

I understand that this matter is the subject of correspondence between the solicitors of the person concerned and the hospital authorities. In these circumstances it would not be appropriate for me to pursue the matter as requested by the Deputy.
