Vol. 343 No. 4

Written Answers. - Accommodation of Autistic Adults.

678.

asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange for a person (details supplied) in Dublin who is an autistic adult to be suitably accommodated as he is being refused accommodation in the hostel in Grosvenor Road, Dublin; and when adequate facilities will be set up to deal with the accommodation of autistic adults who have violent tendencies.

This person's position was first brought to my attention on 24 May. I have asked the Eastern Health Board to let me have a full report on this particular case and also on the general situation regarding services for autistic persons in Dublin.
